Solar power tricycle for fish vending womens




This project “Solar Powered Tricycle for Fish vending women” mainly focuses to overcome the difficulties that are faced by the fisher women for vending fishes to various places. Fish being a perishable product it requires fast transportation from the market place to the desired destination. The fish vending women are facing difficulties in transporting because they are being prohibited from public transport. So they are using other modes of transport such as Load autos, Mini Lorries which they have to afford at very high cost. To avoid such difficulties faced by the women fish vendors this Solar Powered Tricycle was designed and fabricated. The Solar tricycle operates by means of a bidirectional motor which is powered by batteries. The batteries are charged by means of a Polycrystalline Solar Panel which is placed at the top of the vehicle. On rest condition the batteries can be charged by connecting it to a electricity powered charging station. This vehicle has another advantage that is it is easy to drive by women because it does not contain any gearing mechanism such as gears and clutches . It consists of a throttle which will manage the required power supply to the motor when accelerated. It is Eco-friendly because it does not leave any pollution and has the ability to travel even through narrow places. It can also cover more distance since it is being powered by solar .
Women fish workers play critical roles within the fisheries and fishing communities. Women are the primary players in processing, marketing and selling the catch. After the fish has landed she will take charge of the catch and sell the fish for money and food contributing to household incomes and to the local economy.
Traditionally, the catch can be transported on foot by headload, or by bus. Fisher women occasionally use passing trucks for transportation by paying the driver a money. It was so crowded they were constantly fighting for space. There was not a moment of peace in their life.
They had to pay for the space, pay for a board to keep their fish and the expenses were so high. The women are roaming the streets in the sun for so long but still they would not be able to sell much fish.
To overcome their difficulties Solar Powered Tricycle is introduced. Solar plays a very important role in our day to day life. The tricycle will consist of following components:
  • Solar Panel
  • Brush less DC motor
  • Battery
  • Charge Controller
  • Throttle.
  • Solar powered vehicles use photo voltaic (PV) cells to convert sunlight into electricity. The electricity goes either directly to an electric motor powering the vehicle or to a special storage battery. PV cells produce electricity only when the sun is shining. Without sunlight a solar powered car depends on electricity stored in its batteries.
  • The Solar Tricycle has 300 -watt solar panel 850 watt Brush less DC motor that runs through 4 batteries. The batteries each of which is 12 volts are in turn charged by solar panels installed on the roof of the vehicle. The total weight of the vehicle is 754.779 kg.

Design and implementation of magnetic levitation based vertical windmill

Abstract
This project mainly focused on the implementation of an alternate configuration of a wind turbine for power generation purposes for reduction of the manufacturing cost of traditional windmill by 60%. Using the effects of magnetic repulsion, spiral shaped wind turbine blades will be fitted on a rod for stability during rotation and suspended on magnets as a replacement for ball bearings which are normally used on conventional wind turbines. Power will then be generated with an axial flux generator, which incorporates the use of permanent magnets and a set of coils.
Brief explanation
This project focuses on the utilization of wind energy as a renewable source. The aim of this major qualifying project is to design and implement a magnetically levitated vertical axis wind turbine system that has the ability to operate in both high and low wind speed conditions. Our choice for this model is to showcase its efficiency in varying wind conditions as compared to the traditional horizontal axis wind turbine and contribute to its steady growing popularity for the purpose of mass utilization in the near future as a reliable source of power generation. Unlike the traditional horizontal axis wind turbine, this design is levitated via maglev (magnetic levitation) vertically on a rotor shaft. This maglev technology, which will be looked at in great detail, serves as an efficient replacement for ball bearings used on the conventional wind turbine and is usually implemented with permanent magnets. This levitation will be used between the rotating shaft of the turbine blades and the base of the whole wind turbine system. The conceptual design also entails the usage of spiral shaped blades and with continuing effective research into the functioning of sails in varying wind speeds and other factors, an efficient shape and size will be determined for a suitable turbine blade for the project. With the appropriate mechanisms in place, we expect to harness enough wind for power generation by way of an axial flux generator built from permanent magnets and copper coils. The arrangement of the magnets will cultivate an effective magnetic field and the copper coils will facilitate voltage capture due to the changing magnetic field.

Reading aid for blind people using android



Current statistics about world is there are 360 million blind peoples living around the world. For considering India it is 20%. Every year it increased by 36000. They also have a dream about their curriculum. But practically it’s very difficult due to their special reading methods such is “brailing”. Since in reality there are no technical books available in “BRAILING” type.  So we need to converts all technical books in brailing type. But it’s not possible practically. Otherwise they need anyone, who is going to explain what presents in the books are. It also difficult due to, they ever depends someone’s help. This device can help them and they can read all books independently.  
The existing system convert the text in to brailing format since brailing format is too hard. It takes much time to covert the text. We are going to rectify this problem replacing the brail by voice manner. So subject can easily listen the concurrent text.  We needs to spend much money Brail format converter.
    On classical method someone persons needs to read and tells what is presents in the text book. But there are few people have the willing to work for blind people. Hence this is not suitable for practical.
PROCESS: 
Step1:
  The Text to be converting to the image format by the help of WIFI camera and delivered to the android mobile. 
Step2:
   The image of the text is again converting to the PDF format. 
Step3:
       The PDF is converted to the voice manner on the android mobile.
 Step4:
   Voice sent to the headphone subject can easily listen the voice. Otherwise they can ply the voice in loud speaker.

Two major jet streams, the Sub-Tropical Jet and the Polar Front Jet exist in both Earth hemispheres. This wind resource is invariably available wherever the sun shines and the Earth rotates. These jet stream winds offer an energy benefit between one and two orders of magnitude greater than equal rotor area, ground mounted wind turbines operating in the lowest regions of the Earth’s boundary layer.In Australia, Atkinson et al show that 19 kW/m2 is achievable. These winds are available in northern India, China, Japan ,Africa, the Mediterranean, and elsewhere. Our preferred option is a tethered rotor craft, a variant of the gyro plane, where conventional rotors generate power and simultaneously produce sufficient lift to keep the system aloft.According to Sky Wind Power; the overuse of fossil fuels and the overabundance of radioactive waste from nuclear energy plants is taking our planet once again down a path of destruction, for something that is more expensive and far more dangerous in the long run. FEG technology is just cheaper, cleaner and can provide more energy than those environmentally, unhealthy methods of the past, making it a desirable substitute/alternative.
Flying electric generators (FEGs) are proposed to harness kinetic energy in the powerful, persistent high altitude winds. Average power density can be as high as 20 kW/m2 in a approximately 1000 km wide band around latitude 3000m in both Earth hemispheres. At 15,000 feet (4600 m) and above, tethered rotorcraft, with four or more rotors mounted on each unit, could give individual rated outputs of up to 40 MW.
